WordPress Developer (Shopify is a plus) – 2 years+ (NO INTERN)

Job Overview

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in front-end development with a focus on WordPress. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining custom WordPress themes, as well as ensuring the website is optimized for speed and performance. Success in this position will be measured by the ability to deliver high-quality, responsive websites that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with designers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
2. Have good knowledge & experience in (HTML, CSS, JS) Bootstrap 4, Hook Function, and Woo Commerce
3. Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project needs.
4. Ensure website responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
5. Optimize website performance and speed.
6. Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and ranking.
7. Troubleshoot and debug website issues.
8. Stay up-to-date with WordPress updates and new technologies.
9. Test website functionality and user experience.
10. Provide technical support and training to clients and team members.
11. Document website development processes and procedures.
12. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
2. Experience with WordPress development and customization
3. Familiar with liquid to build Shopify theme.
4. Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development
5. Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
6. Ability to work with design tools such as Photoshop or Figma
7. Have experience in debugging, fixing bugs & optimise code through tools.
8. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
10. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
